This beautiful truck is powered by a 5.3L LS engine, and breathes through a pair of Hedman Manufacturing’s old school, LS swap cast manifolds and Black Widow mufflers. To keep with the “old school” theme, Lyon installed some custom finished, perimeter bolt SB Chevy valve covers, using Trans-Dapt’s SB Chevy to LS engine valve cover adapter kit. While the truck’s engine and exhaust sound excellent, the 1000w Kicker Audio system sounds equally impressive. Other goodies on the truck include Detroit Teel Wheels, Air Lift Suspension, Flaming River Steering column with Eddie Motorsports steering wheel. Virtually every bolt is from ARP, and the wiring and instrument cluster are from Painless Performance and Dakota Digital, respectively. SEMA may have been canceled this year, but there’s no reason not to dream about last year…

Hedman Hedders began as a one-man shop in 1954. Founder Bob Hedman sold his highly sought-after exhaust tubes to fellow racers on the salt flats of the Mojave Desert. But what started out as a way to make a few bucks to pay for Bob’s racing hobby, quickly turned into the premier header manufacturer for both the racing and street header marketplaces. Originally designed for straightline drag racers, word spread quickly about Hedman’s reputation for building headers that gave you the best boost in power for your dollar.
